The Common Core

Today’s world is competitive, fast-paced, complex, and technology-driven. CSU - Global Campus’s philosophy is that education must be career-relevant and provide learners with success skills for navigating the modern world in the global information age. Woven throughout the common core are the important themes of technology, critical thinking, research skills, leadership, ethics, and communication, all of which are skills that students will apply and refine as they progress through the specialized curriculum of their major area. The core courses provide students a toolbox for analysis, synthesis and application, as well as a set of shared values about leadership and communication that they will use as they work together individually and in teams throughout their academic program.
